The Central PA Wesleyan Campground hosted its first Fourth of July weekend pig roast on Saturday, July 1, and the event was a quick success.
More than 80 people gathered at a newly erected pavilion where a group of workers from the Pocono-based Chuck’s Roast provided an impressive spread of ribs, sausage, kielbasa and pulled pork sandwiches. Campers brought a variety of covered dishes, desserts and other treats to share.
The campground is planning to have Chuck’s Roast back next year on the Saturday before the Fourth of July holiday (June 30, 2018).
