Thursday was missions day at Camp Meeting, capped off with the inspiring stories shared by the Christ Wesleyan mission team that less than a week ago returned from serving in the volcano ravaged Guatemala.
It was apparent throughout the team’s sharing just how much God was instrumental in helping use the members to greatly impact the people of Guatemala in a variety of ways. It was also refreshing to hear how some of the members were impacted by the people of Guatemala, through the joy and contentment the people shared in the midst of such dire circumstances.
The youth enjoyed a pair of competitive activities … a tractor tube tug of war in a muddy patch of field in the afternoon and a new activity for the youth at camp meeting, LaserTag, in the evening.
The children enjoyed another ice cream themed lesson involving Exodus 14 and a night swim.
Friday kicks off with three different Bible studies based on age groups at 10 a.m. (adult, youth and children) and the evening service, which starts at 7 p.m., will be led by a sermon from Christ Wesleyan lead pastor, Arlie Davis.
