Camp meeting 2019: Photos and feedback from Monday, July 22

Campers experienced a dramatic weather shift today, from extreme heat over the weekend to cooler, rainy conditions. But the weather didn’t affect the activities.

Morning adult worship was led by Rev. Stephen Smith, morning youth ministry by Rev. Donald Grant and children’s ministry by Robin Kratzer. The pool was a popular spot in the afternoon despite the rain, and the What-Not Shop opened with Tammy Wetzel manning the stand.

Evening service was a special look back at the leadership that has helped shape the course of God’s Holiness Camp Meetings over the past 100 years. Board members past and present were called up front and honored for their dedication. The camp has had 18 presidents over the past 100 years. Four were in attendance and shared. The service wrapped with campers sharing memories of evangelists and music worship leaders from the past. Music from David Sheets and Rod and Sonya Horner with accompaniment from Ricky Murphy and Ned Wetzel was shared throughout the evening.

Tuesday offers another full slate of worship, fellowship and reminiscing, with the evening service geared toward families sharing the powerful moments from 100 years of camp meeting.
