A few tweaks helps 2020 Heritage Banquet provide successful end to camping season

The annual Heritage Banquet may have looked a little different in 2020, held in the open-air pavilion by the lake so there was ample room for social distancing, but it was definitely a success. The event provided a great opportunity for fellowship over a homecooked meal, a powerful message and some fun via the benefit white elephant sale at the end of the night with a variety of cool prizes.

“The Friday evening hayride was very well attended. Thank you to Ryan and Ruth Smith for pulling us on a great ride. We even needed two rides to accommodate everyone,” said Peggy Lenig.

One hundred and six people attended the banquet outside in the Worship Center.

“Rev. John Mumper from Lewisburg shared his brave COVID survival experience,” said Lenig. “The benefit auction netted a wonderful $1,105 with proceeds going to the purchase of a new storage shed to replace the small wooden one. The Saturday morning breakfast also netted $68 towards the same project.”
