Everything you need to know for Family Camp 2022

The 103rd Annual God’s Holiness Grove Camp Meeting will be held July 24-31, 2022, at the Central PA Wesleyan Campground near New Columbia. This will be the first full week of camp meeting since the pandemic, and a lot of stuff is in the works for this year’s programming. Some important elements:

There will be a pre-camp opening concert. It will be a hymn sing led by Rod Murphy at Pickett Hall, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.

There are two speakers for this year’s camp meeting’s evening services (and morning adult bible studies. They include:

  • Dr. Anita Eastlack (Sunday through Wednesday). She recently finished a 6-year national role as Executive Director of Church Multiplication and Discipleship at the international headquarters of The Wesleyan Church. She is currently the director of Discipleship and Multiplication for the Northeast District of The Wesleyan Church and also lead pastor of CrossPoint Wesleyan Church Bethlehem, Pa. She has 40 years of church leadership in a variety of roles under her belt. Her husband, Dr. Karl, is district superintendent for the Northeast District (including the eastern half of Pennsylvania). She has “three amazing children and four precious grandchildren.” During family camp, she will share encouragement to “Christian and seeker alike as we face difficult times in our culture.” Morning Bible studies will be interactive. “I encourage everyone to bring a Bible or download a Bible app in your phone.”
  • Dr. Mark O. Wilson (Friday through Sunday). “I am an Associate Professor of Christian Ministry at Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina. Before coming to SWU, I pastored at Hayward Wesleyan Church, a thriving congregation in northern Wisconsin, for 26 years. I’ve authored two books and serve as the South Carolina District Ambassador as well as the denominational Evangelism Catalyst. I hold a doctorate in transformational preaching from Wesley Seminary. My wife, Cathy and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary next month. We have five grown children, four grandchildren and another due the first week of August. I preach frequently at camps, conferences, and churches. The theme of my preaching is heart renewal and joy of living in the overflow of holy love. I use humor and inspirational storytelling to make my point.”

The Rev. Ryan Brosious and his wife, Amanda, will be returning to lead worship during camp meeting’s evening services. Ryan and Amanda have a son and two daughters – Elijah (14), Elliot (12), and Eden (3). Ryan graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2007, and has served in various pastoral roles across the country since graduation. He has served the last 14 years at Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, PA, as the Worship Arts Pastor, and is currently transitioning to an Executive Pastor role there. He also directs Christ Wesleyan Theatre Productions offering some of the area’s highest quality theatrical shows which are open to the community. Amanda,
also an IWU graduate, spent 10 years as the music teacher at Meadowbrook Christian School, and the last three years as the worship leader at Christ Wesleyan’s Sunbury Campus. They love serving in ministry together. Ryan also serves on the board of directors for the Central PA Wesleyan Campground.

Adult bible studies will be held at 10 a.m. each morning at Pickett Hall (except for Sundays, where they will be at the tabernacle). Evening services start at 7 p.m. each night except Sundays, when they begin at 5:30 p.m. More details on scheduling can be found in our brochure: Campmeeting Brochure 2022 (2)
