Youth Ministry Directors

John & Michelle Zaktansky … from Selinsgrove, are the Youth Ministry Directors for Port Ann Wesleyan Church and have been enjoying family camp every summer since Michelle was a teen. The couple will be celebrating 21 years of marriage in December, and have three children: Paige, Samantha and Peito.

This year’s youth theme is from Romans 12:11 … “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” The five lessons are focused on truths and themes from the full chapter of Romans 12, with reflection on how they demonstrate ways we can rejuvenate our “spiritual fervor” for God. To help in the preparation for the lessons, youths who plan to attend camp are encouraged to fill out this questionnaire.

Children’s Ministry Director

Robin Kratzer … has been involved in children’s ministry since she was a teenager and enjoys being with kids to help them come to know, serve, and love Jesus. A graduate of Messiah College, Robin currently serves as the Children’s Director at Port Ann Wesleyan Church in Middleburg where she leads the Kidz Worship and Awana ministries. She has served as the past director of Western PA and South Penn-York District Wesleyan Kids Camp.

Robin and her husband Dean, live in Middleburg with their three adult J’s – Jessica, Jeremy, and Jason plus their new grand-puppy Lylah Grace. As a family they enjoy the outdoors, camping at the river (their happy place), and New York Yankees baseball.

Missions

Don Werkheiser … went on his first short-term missions trip to Haiti in 2012. After seven years and four more mission trips, Don felt called to go to Haiti. In 2020 the call became a reality when Global Partners appointed him to be a long-term missionary. Don thanks God for the desire he put in his heart to love and serve the people in Haiti.
