Here is a wrap-up message from Peggy Lenig looking back at the Fourth of July weekend at the campground:
WHAT A WONDERFUL FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND!
From having six hayrides on Friday night with Root Beer floats afterward,
To 120 people attending a huge breakfast buffet on Saturday (earning us $500),
To 21 kids participating in the Fishing Derby,
To 95 servings of Pelican’s Shaved Ice on Saturday afternoon,
To more hayrides on Saturday,
To 108 people attending the amazing pork BBQ pot luck dinner, with so many wonderful dishes to choose from (earning us another $500),
To 59 people attending the Worship service on Sunday morning,
To even more hayrides on Sunday,
And then over 150 people watching the ULTIMATE in fireworks
God provided perfect weather when needed and even more perfect people helping and volunteering in MANY ways. Thank you especially to Mike and Lyndon Miller for hayrides, Chuck Lawrence and his amazing servant crew for the meals, John Zaktansky and family crew for the Fishing Derby, Chris from Pelican’s, Pastor Lee Crossley for sharing the message, Mark and Nora Lenig for the Worship music, and ALL the helpers: Barb Price, Ruth Clough, Patty Strobel, Sandy Elias, Michele Sloyer, Tim & Dianne Rebuck, Lisa Jo & Bob Smith, Gary Raker, Faye & Butch Kuhns, Homer Argot, Donna Laughrey, Don & Jane Rosser, Marilyn Davis, Penny & Bill Stamm, Don W, Pastor Steve Smith, Bill & Barb Smagner and others – (please forgive me as my old brain is quickly approaching another year, so my memory may be a little foggy LOL).
